Even though female bodybuilding is gaining popularity it has never been as prominent when compared to their counterpart. Unfortunately, there are lost of misconceptions about female bodybuilding, which is doing no good in promoting it. Truth is there are always myths about bodybuilding in general. In this article, lets look at some of the common misconceptions about female weight training and bodybuilding.
Myth # 1 - Bodybuilding will give you a masculine look.
By looking at all those women who appear in Ms.Olympiad its easy to get this opinion. But the truth in those women who appear masculine is that they want to look masculine. One of the major hormone that increases in muscle growth is testosterone and is naturally produced in male body but not in the female body. Hence female bodybuilders have an opinion that they wont be able to develop muscles unless they use steroids and drugs in order to achieve high muscularity. Women can achieve firm, fit and healthy looking body if they can workout without taking any artificial steroids and drugs.
Myth # 2 - Bodybuilding reduces agility and makes one stiff.|
Myth # 2 - You will lose your agility because of bodybuilding.|
Myth # 2 - Bodybuilding causes stiffness and reduces your agility.
This will only happen if you just want to workout certain part of your body. If your perform exercises that have a full range of motion your agility will increase. Therefore, one should be careful with the exercise you do if you want to make yourself stiff.
This is a common misconception about bodybuilding in general. This can happen if you train badly and only workout certain parts of your body. The exercises you perform have to benefit the entire range of your body. So if you have proper guidance this won't happen.
The truth is you can lose your agility and become a robot if you don't workout every part of the body. Unless and until you have a very bad trainer who doesn't tell you that you need to workout the entire range of your body, this can't happen.
Myth # 3 - Bodybuilding turns fat in to muscles.
Myth # 3 - All your fat will become muscles if you get into bodybuilding.
Myth # 3 - As a result of bodybuilding, body fat will turn to muscles.
Losing fat and gaining muscle are two different thing. If one has a high fat content in your body, then you need to have a proper diet and do aerobics if you want to lose fat. To gain muscles you need to workout. You can not turn fats into muscles just by doing weight training.
To be honest i have no idea why people have such an opinion. Fat and muscles are two different types of body tissues and they have no connection. Bodybuilding can help you build muscles but if your goal is to lose fat, then you have a healthy diet and do aerobics. Getting into bodybuilding thinking that they can turn their body fat in to muscles, is as absurd as it can get. Bodybuilding will help you to grow your muscles. But if you want to lose fat, you need to exercise and have a proper diet.
On the other hand, people also say that if you stop doing weight training, muscles will turn back in to fat. The reason many lose their muscle after stopping working is simply because of inactivity and poor eating habits.

A Good Bodybuilding Diet Is Imperative For Building Muscle
If you want to build muscle on your body, and lose fat, you may benefit from a bodybuilding diet. There are many options and you can try several different plans to see what works best for you. No matter how hard you train and work out, however, your results will always be better if your diet lines up with your ultimate goal.
When you think of the word "diet," you may think of deprivation. In the case of a bodybuilding diet, you will not go hungry. Your diet will refer to the choices you make each day when it comes to food. If you will be working out a lot and want to build muscle, you do not want to starve yourself. Your body is going to need energy in order to keep running.
Your bodybuilding diet should consist of smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. This will keep you from getting hungry and your blood sugar levels will stay more even. This will allow you to have more energy for longer periods of time. Each meal you eat should have some carbs, protein, and good fats. When bodybuilding, do not keep your caloric intake at the same level each day. You do not want your metabolism to get used to anything. If you keep it guessing, you will be able to lose fat and build muscle faster.
When considering what you should eat in order to reach your goals, you might also want to add other supplements. There are plenty of vitamins as well as drinks and shakes on the market that can help you gain energy and enhance your performance in the gym. You may consider supplements like vitamin C, fish oils, or protein powders. There are also performance enhancing supplements that can help you gain muscle at a faster rate. You will want to be sure to check with your doctor before starting any vitamin or supplement regimens.
Bodybuilding is a science and what you eat needs to work along with your training. Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables with each meal. You may have heard that you need extra protein to build more muscle, but you still need fruits and vegetables in order to keep your body running smoothly. You will also want to limit your intake of sugars and fats so that your fat levels can decrease as your muscles increase.
One of the best things you can do on a diet of any kind is drink plenty of water. When you work out strenuously, you will need lots of water to keep your body hydrated. Water can also help keep you feeling full and energized. It is good for you in every way.

Is Female Bodybuilding Competing With Men's?
Women started participating in female body building competitions in the 1970s. Nowadays, the number of women taking part in weight training programs to achieve a more attractive physique and prevent bone loss is steadily increasing. Strength training and female body building has a lot of benefits which include an increase in bone mass, avoiding bone loss, and increase in muscle strength and balance.
Despite the popularity and obvious benefits of female body building, some women are still apprehensive about these activities. Some think that engaging in these types of activities will cause them to look bulky by gaining too much muscle. This fear is rather unfounded, as women do not have enough testosterone in their body to produce the amount of muscle mass men can. Areas relating to female body building such as figure and fitness competitions, which have also seen a rise in popularity, may be a better option for women. These different activities provide women other alternatives to the type of muscle development provided in body building.

Female Bodybuilding - Eating Right
Rest assured that it's not easy for a lady to develop ripping muscles.
This has something to do with the way the female body is built. Genetically, the lady is just not supposed to develop strong bulky muscles. That's why even if you put in a lot of effort into your workouts and exercise, you won't start looking like a champion bodybuilder overnight.
But you will get tone and fit. And that is probably what you want to achieve.
Working out is just one part of the equation. As you work out, you are sending stress signals to your muscles. Your muscles respond according to all that stress - it breaks down eventually.
After you tear down your muscles, you need to eat right to ensure that your muscles start building up again.
If you don't eat well, your muscles become weaker, not stronger. That's because after tearing them down, the muscles have nothing to feed on, and they don't grow.
